I do not need permission to start. I do not need a crowd to finish.
Doubt shows up every time I sit down to work, and it will show up again tomorrow. That is not a warning, that is just the sound of the quiet room. Every person who ever made something somebody else depended on had a first draft nobody saw and a hundred revisions nobody thanked them for.
So I keep my head down and let the work answer the questions for me. Not loud. Not rushed. Just finished, again and again, until finishing is the least interesting thing about me.
